The Twelfth Amendment
The Twelfth Amendment was significant to all of the elections that followed its ratification. Instead of the top two candidates getting President and Vice President, some run as President with running mates, who will be Vice President if the Presidential Candidate wins. People will vote for a President and a Vice president. This Amendment is still used in U.S. elections today.
