Election of 1804
This is the election of 1804. There is much significance in the election. The Country had almost doubled in size between 1800 and 1804. tis election's results were not close. Jefferson received 162 votes(92%) of the electoral vote. His opponent, Pinckney, only received 14 votes(8%). This victory begins his second term. Jefferson does not run in the next election, in 1808. James Madison succeeds Jefferson, and wins the election of 1808.
